Criminal Background Verification Specialist
JOB SUMMARY:
Under routine supervision, the position is responsible for ensuring that background screens meet the requirements of J.B. Hunt’s Criminal Screening Matrix. Review, evaluate and approve the criminal records and history for job applicants and other temp labor. Maintain accurate records and reports to effectively track productivity in assigned tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct criminal background review for job applicants and other temp labor.
Monitor and review delayed contact applications and remove applicants from the rosters as needed.
Compile background screening tracking status reports (daily/weekly).
Communicate and partner with external and internal departmentpersonnel to facilitate contractor approval.
Initiate rejections for contractors that don’t meet the J.B. Hunt Criminal Matrix requirements.
Review criminal background monitoring and document investigation history of those that fail review for the Safety and Litigation departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Management or a related field
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively
Ability to multi-task
Customer-oriented
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in a team and tracking toward metrics/goals
Proficient time management skills
Self-motivation
Knowledge of background checks or pre-employment screenings.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
PAY: $15.00 per hour.
