We currently have an opportunity for an In-bond Control Tower Agent at our Erlanger, Kentucky location. As an In-Bond Control Tower Agent, you will work directly with DHL customers, US Customs and service stations to ensure shipments are properly reported to US Customs and Border Protection for movement via 7512. Ensure all regulatory requirements are met for creating and closing of in-bonds. Support DHL customers with excellent service and quick responses. Lead with regulatory assistance and procedure development Tasks & Accountabilities + Reviews import/export cargo shipment information and processes In Bond Shipments for movement from the northern and southern borders for acceptance into the DHL network. + Coordinates In Bond movements for customers from FTZ and Bonded warehouse facilities. + Monitors bond level and ensures all in bonds are closed per regulatory requirements. Monitor agent performance and accuracy. + Role will also include additional training to support functions within the export team Skills & Qualifications + Support process development and implantation + Previous knowledge in in-bond processing + Previous knowledge is needed of all types of in-bonds (61/62/63) and customs requirements and regulations involved for each + Excellent customer service skills + Knowledge of General Order (GO) requirements and regulations + Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office + HS diploma or GED required. + Specialized skill training/certification may be required. + Generally 1-3 years of experience in area of responsibility.
