Job Description

Forklift Operators are responsible to load and unload trailers. 95% of your time is spent on the forklift working with a team of other operators in an open, cross dock environment.

1:00AM (T-S) or 10:30PM (M-F) start times available

Start wage: $23/hr

• Safe Forklift Operation: Operate sit down safely and efficiently to move, stack, and load/unload materials, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times.
• Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of materials and products handled, making note of quantities, locations, and any damages or discrepancies.
• _ _ Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets with precision, ensuring that goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.__
• Dock Management: Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the dock area, including removing debris and obstructions, and ensuring clear pathways for equipment and personnel.
• Quality Control: Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for any visible damage, report discrepancies, and work with the team to resolve issues.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations and participate in safety training.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience operating a forklift in a cross dock environment or loading and unloading trailers.
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
