Job Description
* Develop and implement strategies to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and enhance electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in products.
* Conduct EMC testing to ensure that products meet regulatory standards (such as FCC, CE, or IEC).
* Design and improve circuits and components to minimize EMI, utilizing shielding, grounding, filtering, and other techniques.
* Ensure that products meet national and international EMC regulatory standards and certifications.
* Prepare documentation and test reports required for compliance certification.
* Identify sources of EMI and work to mitigate or eliminate them in product designs.
* Investigate EMC-related failures in systems and develop corrective actions.
* Work closely with design and development teams to integrate EMC best practices early in the product lifecycle.
* Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure components meet EMC standards.
* Consider the impact of EMC on the product's environment and other systems within the same environment, especially in sensitive fields like medical devices, aerospace, automotive, and telecommunications.
* Maintain comprehensive records of test results, analysis, and product designs.
* Prepare technical reports and presentations on EMC issues and solutions.
