    JOB SUMMARY  

    The Ticket Analyst is responsible for all customer ticket transactions generated by each load purchased by the Lease Acquisition group. Each ticket analyst is responsible for 5 to 10 carriers. This role ensures that tickets are sent daily and timely for monthly accounting close and all transactions properly flow through SXL’s order management and accounting systems (TouchStar, Sundex, Plads, and Coins). Works closely with crude buyers, customers and carriers to resolve ticket issues and meet customer service standards.

    The Ticket Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that our customers are paid accurately for 200 to 300 transactions a day, worth $10-18k each or $2.5 to $5.5 MM per day in crude purchases. It is also verifying and validating the transportation fees for those loads approximately $450 a load or $112K a day.

    • Responsible for the accurate and timely reconciliation of 200-300 lease acquisition transactions a day averaging $10-18K value each, for assigned carriers. Analyzes a large amount of data to make sure no duplicates or invalid tickets are received through the system.
    • Validate and reconcile deliveries and tickets, to make sure no ticket is missing using the provided station log reconciliation tools and systems. Use various reports including daily ticket report, station logs, and dispatch reports or other reports as needed. Uses complex excel spreadsheets, accounting and customer payment system interface reports as well as budgeted barrels to review actual vs. estimates. 
    • Resolves ticket issues and propose proactive actions to avoid repeat errors. Use independent knowledge and creativity to handle all potential issues related to ticket transaction and improve the process with assigned carriers.
    • Responsible for coordinating correction of tickets, as well as research and timely resolution of all loads hauled in error.
    • Coordinate the processes of approved ‘early pay’ tickets and send notice to pricing specialist for processing.
    • Audit tickets on 3rd party invoices and confirm that all charges are valid.
    • Leads the evaluation of carrier’s performance as far as ticket transmission and accuracy.
    • Responsible for the reconciliation of tickets to the station logs to ensure accurate financials including payables, gain/loss and crude sales market.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Prefer Bachelors degree in Business, finance or related discipline

    Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Skilled in MS Office and various mainframe applications. Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment. Must be a self starter and able to work with minimal supervision; detail oriented. Strong communications skills (verbal and written).
