    Job Summary:

    Under general supervision, this position is responsible for minimizing downtime to JBHT equipment to improve utilization of assets and control maintenance costs. Accountable for the coordination of maintenance repairs with our internal maintenance shops and outside vendors. The incumbent is responsible for managing a team of coordinators and approving repair expenditures and Comchecks exceeding $2,000.00.

    Job Description:

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Monitor vendors to ensure repairs are being completed in a timely manner and controlling costs

    • Utilize reports to appropriately direct and manage department workflow

    • Manage maintenance outsource employees

    • Work with dealership reps to ensure warranty is honored and parts retained when necessary

    • Work to keep costs down for necessary repairs including approval on high cost repairs exceeding $2,000.00

    • Maintain the vendor profile by obtaining updated information and submit change requests to management

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications :

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent; 5 or more years of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to pass MVR.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Automotive and/or diesel mechanic knowledge; experience in Automotive Services

    • Up to 1 year of supervisory experience

    • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with personnel, customers and vendors

    • Ability to exercise discretion

    • Ability to make time-sensitive decisions

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities

    • Ability to multitask

    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    • Able to manage high tension situations and defuse situations

    • Able to read, interpret and analyze data in reports

    • Basic deductive reasoning skills

    • Customer Service skills

    • Decision making skills

    • Demonstrate a high sense of urgency

    • Experience in a call center environment

    • Experience in invoicing

    • Experience with collecting/documenting information

    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

    Compensation:

    Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
