Project Coordinator (Green Line Extension Program) Salary $71,063.00 - $86,588.00 Annually Location Greater Boston Area Job Type Full-Time Department MBTA - Green Line Extension Job Number 18-16954 Closing 9/11/2018 11:59 PM Eastern Job Summary The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting Green Line Extension (GLX) personnel in the administrative, financial and document control activities related to planning, construction contracts, and projects. This position is a project specific position and is limited to the term of the construction contract. Employment beyond the construction contract is left to the discretion of the MBTA at the completion of the project, which is currently anticipated to be December 2021. Duties & Responsibilities Create and distribute project related correspondence; letter, memo, or email. Assist in the preparation of project reports, status reports, and charts reflecting the status of project activities. Manage the GLX Program's e-Builder system, including but not limited to, adding/removing users, creating, changing and updating processes and forms, troubleshooting form and process issues, conducting trainings for new users and serving as the head administrator of the platform for the Program. Create, maintain and manage the Programs document control system both electronically and with hardcopies. Assist in analysis and appraisal of current project status and future forecast of activities in order to ensure completion of projects. Organize and maintain effective means to interpret, present, and communicate project information at internal and external meetings. Coordinate meetings and serve as a liaison between construction and design staff. Coordinate and organize a variety of activities for the program. Create and maintain project files. Respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Adhere to the rules, regulations, collective bargaining agreements and policies of the Authority including the EEO, Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Anti-Retaliation policies. Perform related duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Three (3) years' experience in project administration or coordination duties, supporting a large department or group. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient with e-Builder as an Administrator. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines efficiently. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills. The ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce. The ability to pass: background screenings, a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, and the MBTA's drug and alcohol screening. PREFERENCES INCLUDE: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or Business Administration from an accredited institution. Experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Substitutions Include An Associate's Degree from an accredited institution and an additional two years of experience in project administration or coordination duties, supporting a large department or group may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree requirement.
