Intern, Event Coordination Miami Marlins 42 reviews - Miami, FL 33125 Full-time, Internship Position Summary: The Event Coordination Internship is a full-time paid (minimum wage) internship position beginning in July 2018 and ending in December 2018. This individual will assist the Event Coordination Manager with all events that are hosted at Marlins Park. Essential Functions: Provide exceptional customer service and represent the department with the upmost professionalism. Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects with competing priorities, and follow written and oral instructions. Responsible for gathering all necessary information from event contact to compile and circulate the event sheets to all departments. Responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive event information to event staff and related departments. Assisting the Event Coordination Manager in the planning process of special events. This position includes regularly interacting with a variety of departments within the Organization, as well as external business/corporate partners, and will assume additional duties on an as needed basis. Provide administrative support to the Event Coordination Manager. Qualifications & Requirements: Proactive, organized and detail-oriented person who can prioritize their workload and follow through with minimum supervision. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs Ability to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines: A minimum of one (1) year administrative experience and/or event planning required.
