Key Responsibilities : Preparing, packaging and shipping requested packages per DOT / IATA guidelines (to include Hazardous materials, international shipping etc) Work with couriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) on shipping/ receiving packages Provides support on facilitiesrelated issues Delivers critical cold packages to end users in a timely and efficient manner Receive PO's into Oracle system on daily basis. Track incoming packages and maintain accurate delivery documentation Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages scanning incoming packing slips to recipients Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills required (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Identify charges and match them to billing Count items from courier (Fedex, UPS, USPS etc) to ensure that the correct number have been received Determine storage areas for incoming shipments (Chemicals, Lab supplies, Office supplies etc) Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies Handle returns and exchanges by ensuring that reverse distribution processes are followed properly Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment Select the method of consignment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates Maintain files of shipping records Route products to departments Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers Point of contact for lab waste removal Administrative responsibilities as needed Provides excellent customer service and support. Regularly reviews, prioritizes, coordinates and promptly responds to work orders and service requests. Interfaces with customers to ensure all expectations are being met Maintains a positive relationship with all the members of the Facilities department and our site customers while promoting a positive team environment. Conference room setups and furniture setup / removal Vendor support Maintains compliance with corporate, safety, security and regulatory policies. Maintains all assigned Corporate, Facilities and EHS training as required Adheres to all safety procedures and hazard communication; updates and maintains applicable safety data sheets Maintains work areas in a clean, safe and organized state including all work rooms, storage areas, mechanical rooms and electrical areas Assists with backup support to EHS and IT Helps maintain facilities business continuity and crisis management documents and notification systems to ensure current and accurate information. Assists with coordinating annual site emergency response drills. Qualifications: HS graduate or acceptable trade certification of experience in combination of education and practical experience IATA/DOT/RCRA Training required Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving of hazardous materials including liquid and solid chemicals.
