    $150 Retention Bonus after 90days / + $100 after 6months of employment

    Brief Summary

    To assist the Human Resources Manager in duties. To plan and carry out policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties. Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records, and the processing of these records to calculate payroll. Responsible to understand own role in the Food Safety Management System by awareness of the importance and relevance of their activities and to report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

    Essential Functions

    • Screen, recruit, and interview potential employees
    • On-board, train new employees and makes ID badges.
    • Implement company culture, values and policies
    • Coordinate events focused on employee recognition
    • Accurately maintain employee files
    • Maintain and update record of attendance, vacation and sick time which is available or used and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations to aid HR Manager in preparing reports for employee turnover, worker’s comp claims, unemployment, safety bonuses, group insurance, and state labor force surveys.
    • Prepares employee payroll and responds to payroll inquiries. Creates relationship with department management and appropriately trains management and employees on the most efficient and lawful method of payroll systems, maintenance/editing of input, comprehension of systems, such as use of ADP, SSFF Biometrics, etc. Requires training of new management on the use of payroll and time keeping systems.
    • Record payrate changes or changes concerning transfers of employees between departments in the computer and file.
    • Addition of new employee information such as name, address, department, the rate of pay, and the number of exemptions claimed.
    • Relief of receptionist as needed.
    • Assist in employee separation notices and related documentation.
    • Respond to unemployment claims, verifications of employment and order of wage garnishments and wage assignments.
    • Regular and timely attendance is a requirement for all employees.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION

    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
    • Associates Degree in Related Field

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • 2 years of HR experience in a similar position.
    • Bilingual English & Spanish REQUIRED.
    • Familiar with Labor and Employment Laws.
    • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience performing interoffice administrative coordination, routine transactions, internal tracking of documents.
    • Demonstrated high level of confidentiality and ethics.
    • Success Factors HR module knowledge preferred.
