Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (Fort Worth, TX) Pilot Thomas Logistics 122 reviews - Fort Worth, TX 76107 Position Summary: The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst reports to the Senior Director of FP&A and works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Business Unit heads. The role will provide critical analytical support as the company continues to grow rapidly. The role will also be involved in all aspects of FP&A including the annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, general financial reporting, acquisition-related analyses, as well as a number of other periodic and special analyses. The ideal candidate will not only produce accurate reporting and analysis, but will also provide insight, recommendations, and prospective plans for achieving results. The FP&A Analyst sits atop a unique perch in the organization and, as such, can identify trends within Business Units and apply those throughout the organization. The Analyst is expected to turn the conceptual into concrete, the qualitative into quantitative, and the analysis into action all with the guidance and mentorship of others in the organization. Duties and Responsibilities: * Prepare periodic and ad hoc financial analyses for Executive Management * Prepare and analyze monthly financial package covering all Business Units distributed to Executives and Business Unit heads * Prepare financials for suppliers, daily volume and gross margin forecasts, weekly management reports, bank reporting and presentations, and payroll metrics * Prepare meeting materials for Board of Managers including designing charts and tables as well as summarizing operational and financial results * Prepare and present business cases or decision support for project investments or acquisitions, including ROI calculations, break-even analysis, Net Present Value and sensitivity analysis * Special projects as requested * Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, or Accounting) required * 1-3 years' experience in relevant finance or accounting-related capacity * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office products with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint * Experience with company analysis and financial reporting, as well as acquisition valuation.
