  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Lead the development, casting, machining, welding, and assembly of metal components, focusing on aluminum materials such as battery trays, covers, structural plates, and protective shields.
    • Manage part procurement, assembly, and testing through various stages of battery program development.
    • Ensure the completion of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements and Technical Knock-Out (TKO) criteria.
    • Perform battery pack teardowns for root cause analysis and issue resolution.
    • Execute Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for initial production tool sample builds and complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
    • Guarantee the successful completion of final validation and support all battery build milestones.
    • Oversee deliverables and milestones with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, including organizing meetings to address engineering challenges.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
    • Experience with OEM processes and advanced quality tools (DFMEA, DVPR).
    • Skilled in NX CAD with knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter preferred.
    • Proven track record of component release within an OEM or major Tier 1 company.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
