    Job Description

    Our Legacy Integration development team is responsible for supporting, assisting and developing solutions to integrated with our Legacy Cobol applications, specifically Expeditors Transportation Management System (e.tms Export). We use the term Legacy to describe our Export system because it provides enduring value to our thousands of users worldwide.     As a Team Manager, you will lead and manage an agile team responsible for delivering and maintaining operational capabilities in the Export system. You will optimize your team to improve our speed in decision-making and value delivery, enabling our ability to provide world-class operational experience. You will compliment and support other roles and processes within the broader Legacy team-of-teams and do so with a servant leadership mindset.

    This position will report to the Senior Manager of Legacy and will work directly with program leadership and product management, as well as stakeholders across the company.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support team member's development and career growth
    • Develop strategic partnership with respective business stakeholders
    • Alignment with Portfolio management
    • Understand, support, and communicate the Global IS vision and strategy
    • Embrace the Process Architecture, including Lean, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework principles and practices
    • Ensure the availability, security, and performance of the Export system
    • Deliver tangible business value through execution of a Portfolio's initiatives, programs, and projects
    • Deliver continuous improvement across IS operational responsibilities with measurable outcomes
    • Ensure your team understands how their work is tied to outcomes
    • Oversee enterprise risk management, provider relationships, and/or asset management as required
    • Actively involved in hiring process; review resumes, conduct interviews, and execute hiring plan to staff team with appropriate experience and skill sets
    • Actively participate in leadership activities, such as budgeting, goal planning, department initiatives and internal development projects

    This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Personal and professional alignment with Expeditors culture
    • Proven experience as a technology-oriented leader
    • Strong leadership, management, financial, communication and execution capabilities
    • Creative problem solver, strong collaborator and able to provide clarity around complex topics
    • Experience with DevSecOps, Lean, Agile and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
    • Resolute personality, emotional intelligence, and an action and outcome driven leadership approach

    • Ability to promote autonomy, mastery, and purpose, through empowerment and creating leaders

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior team management experience
    • Prior experience working with enterprise level, distributed, operational facing systems
    • Prior experience working on software development teams

    Additional Information

    Expected base salary: $95,000 to $180,000

    May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
