    Job Description

    The Transition & Implementation (T&I) Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing a successful customer transition from the award of the freight forwarding related business through the daily execution of branch operations. They are a single point of contact for accounts identified as requiring special attention based on the complexity of the scope of services (size, multi-logistics products/services, IS requirements.)

    The T&I Coordinator will direct and manage the day-to-day activities of implementing new business with in the Expeditors Network. They define the scope and complexity of the business to be transitioned. The T&I coordinator will direct cross-functional teams comprised of customer, local operations, analysts, Product and IS (support/development) personnel.

    Communication is required in many forms: in-person meetings, email, project management tools and video / conference. They are responsible for successfully implementing operational and systems solutions according to the scope of services or project.

    The T&I Coordinator will also be responsible but not limited to the following sample activities, tasks and/or responsibilities:

    • Establish service expectations and KPIs and consistently review performance for compliance and process improvements.
    • Review and maintain procedures and processes that guide Operations in support of the customer’s global logistics needs, and help to establish new procedures as needed.
    • Continuously develop knowledge of Supply Chain processes, financial objectives and general business acumen to benefit client and personal objectives.
    • Develop and maintain Account Strategy in order to identify account objectives, Expeditors vision, KPIs, and measures for success while identifying resources needed to reach these objectives.
    • Create and present Customer Business Review
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Ability to legally work in the United States
    • Ability to converse with customers whose primary language is Spanish
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, however equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in transportation/supply chain/logistics field, however equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    • Ability to define, develop, and document business processes and procedures.
    • Proficient in establishing relationships at all levels within accounts.
    • Effective interpersonal skills- including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with the ability to present.
    • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, internal/external customer service, project management, and problem solving skills.
    • Intermediate computer skills- email, internet, Excel, Word, Power Point.
    • Background in project management or project coordination
    • Strong understanding of supply chain solutions
    • Ability to document business process flows
    • Familiarity with EDI and its use
    • Strong organizational skills, computer skills and general knowledge of supply chain software
    • Travel when necessary (upon approval) to branch offices and/or customer locations to resolve issues, review procedures and maintain customer satisfaction.

    The pay range for this position is $22-24/ hour.
