Job Description Our Dedicated Road Breakdown Agentsmanage all aspects of road breakdown with the companys drivers along with 3rd party providers. The Dedicated Road Breakdown Agent is the single point of contact when assisting drivers in repairs, breakdowns, and repair instructions either by routing them to terminals or providing direction for on the road repairs. This position also plays a major part in the success of warranty recovery of any failed components on Werner Equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES Review and authorize all tractor parts purchases, tractors repairs, and tractor supplies and maintenance purchases/ receipts by drivers. Track and record allservices that have been completed for warranty repairs, truck recalls and service campaigns. Monitor and notify the Fleet Managers of upcoming truck PM service requirements. Follow-up and communicate with repair facilities or Service providers to monitor repair progress, and to approve and invoice the provider for the repairs completed. Review and approve computer transmitted requests by the drivers via satellite communication for over-the-road repairs. Coordinate with the Fleet Managers on the necessary routing of tractors to the selected repair shop or to the required terminal for the necessary repairs. Communicate with outside terminals through the Werner Enterprises computer system to notify of the repairs required and completion date with the fleet management team. Receive and send fax requests to shops pertaining to billing or repair instructions. Manage and coordinate all equipment recall campaigns within the assigned fleets. Coordinate payment to the vendors.
