Our Operations Support department is pivotal for the business continuity of our business. Operations Support sustains training and roll out of new Kaizen initiatives. This department manages negotiations of all top suppliers and oversees all areas of supportive functions that enable us to provide best in class services to major companies nationwide. These include purchasing, supplier mgt., facilities R&M, Fleet Mgt., and environmental mgt. We seek an intern who can participate in various stages of operations support, development and enhancement. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, be able to handle several assignments concurrently, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of Business Operations, and in-depth understanding Contract Logistics. Essential Job Functions * Maintain regular and punctual attendance. * Work cooperatively with others. * Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner. * Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedule. * Review and analyze data and information . * Plan, prioritize and monitor activities. * Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner. * Comply with all Company policies and procedures RESPONSIBILITIES Job Responsibilities * Assist in the creation of cost analysis for supplier expenses and financial data * Assist in the distribution or delivery of reporting for MHE/fleet analysis, contract staffing, performance metrics * Assist with fulfillment of supplier quarterly business reviews minutes and improvement actions * Assist with scheduling and site visits for facilities maintenance contractors * Assist with the preparation and delivery of Peak Season planning * Prepare presentations, track project plans * Assist and support ISO 14001 Environmental Mgt. System documentation * Assist data tracking and project Mgt. including Kaizen(continuous Improvement) Teams Provide Misc. support within the department QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Required Qualifications * Company is looking for an undergraduate student who preferably is majoring in Business, Logistics, Contract Logistics, Business Development, and/or Logistics Engineering. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web usage, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Requirements for Undergraduate Students * Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full-time student (minimum of 12 semester hours) * Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours * Must be in good academic standing Requirements for Graduate Students * Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university leading to an advanced degree in a related field * Must be in good academic standing Benefits Part-time Internship Flexible Schedule and duration Time frame: Period of up to 12 months.
