Equipment Operator I Bolthouse Farms 133 reviews - Bakersfield, CA 93307 The APEX Beverage Equipment Operator will assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily production needs with the supervisors and inventory managers in loading/unloading trailers and production work. The Equipment Operator must be willing and able to assist in operating the Beverage Plant equipment. JOB DUTIES: * Monitor material flow and instruments to include temperature and pressure gauges, indicators, and meters * Set or adjust machine controls to regulate conditions such as material flow, temperature and pressure * Measure or weigh materials to be refined, mixed, transferred, stored, or otherwise processed * Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing * Complete changeovers, CIPs, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed * Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Must be punctual, with an excellent attendance record * Must be able to communicate effectively in English * Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision * Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions * Ability to operate a Blow Molder, Filler, Labeler, and Case Packer MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Forklift certification required * Proven, reliable work history PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * One to two years experience as an Equipment Operator in a similar production environment preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds * Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time * Must be able to work in freezer and cold, wet or humid conditions HOURS & WORKDAY: 2nd and 3rd Shift, Monday through Sunday with rotating days off, when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory The Company is committed to providing equal opportunity for employees and applicants in all aspects of the employment relationship, without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, marital status, veteran status, disability, age, religion or any other classification protected by law.
