NEA is hiring its first ever investment analyst. We are the largest venture capital firm globally, and in our 38 years since inception, we have had over 200 IPO exits and 300 M&A exits. Some of our current investments include BuzzFeed, Casper, Duolingo and Jet.com

The analyst role is a two-year role based in our Sand Hill Road office. As an Analyst at NEA, you’ll learn what the venture capital business is about and gain insight into many fascinating technology startups.

The ideal candidate would be an energetic, extroverted individual who is naturally passionate and curious about the newest consumer startups. Are you addicted to Snapchat and Yik Yak? As soon as you hear about a new startup, do you check out its product and discuss it with your friends? If so, this is the perfect role for you. Day-to-day activities include:

• Building investment theses by performing market research and due diligence, which could entail financial or web-analytics modeling, or testing products and services • Monitor data sources (e.g., Mattermark, Product Hunt, App Annie) to probe for emerging apps and companies that have their origins in younger demographics • Meeting with entrepreneurs who have started businesses in which NEA may be interested in investing • Working with NEA portfolio companies, including research projects, competitor analysis, and attending board meetings • Designing and executing projects of your own direction that help NEA and/or our portfolio companies
