  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for an Analyst to join our team. You will be exposed to many aspects of Mercury Fund and have direct interaction with our partners and operations team. Ideal candidates are entrepreneurial self-starters with the ability to adapt and learn new skills quickly. As an analyst, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the venture capital industry and have insight into fast-growing technology startups.

    Analysts help with all aspects of fund operations, including:

    • Performing market research and due diligence for potential investments. Complete internal analyses and deal summary memos
    • Analyze industry trends, financial data, and market developments to support the development of Mercury’s investment theses
    • Reporting for our investors, which includes writing quarterly updates, processing financial data, and packaging the material for our limited partner investors
    • Work closely with Mercury portfolio companies, including market research, competitor analysis, and other needs
    • Develop a strong understanding of the types of deal opportunities that are valuable to Mercury Fund and contribute to our efforts to identify them
    • Develop a strong understanding of best practices for B2B enterprise SaaS startups and put that knowledge to use effectively throughout the portfolio
    • Assist with executing internal initiatives such as the annual SaaS CXO Summit or investor meetings

    Candidates should bring a high caliber of intellectual horsepower and curiosity to the role. Due to the small size of our team, candidates should be comfortable with a large degree of independence, responsibility, and accountability.
