This is a non-tenure track, nine-month academic year position at the Professional Practice Assistant Professor level beginning August 1, 2019. The primary duties are teaching (90%) and service (10%). Teaching will be at the undergraduate level and is based on the expertise of the individual. Responsibilities: This position fills the role of a faculty member within the USU Nursing Program. The successful candidate will work with faculty to teach undergraduate lectures, clinicals, and labs in the nursing program. Responsibilities may include coordination of clinicals, curriculum development, teaching, professional engagement, and service. Courses are taught in person at the USU Moab Campus. Dept/College Highlights: The Department of Nursing and Health Professions (NHP) http://nursing.usu.edu is in the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services. The college is consistently ranked in the top tier of 1,200 programs nationally by US News and World Report, with a current ranking of 24th overall and 4th in funded research. Within NHP, the Practical Nursing certificate and Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing are offered at Regional Campus sites, while a Baccalaureate Nursing degree is offered on the Logan campus. May involved a large volume of such composition. ADA Travel Requirements: Moderate travel required ability to travel frequently (i.e., weekly-monthly) for activities such as home visits, collateral contacts, transport of clients to appointments, delivering mail, auditing records, inspecting facilities, or other activities requiring frequent travel under normal conditions.
