Job Title: Home Health Aid (HHA)

Hourly Rate: $21 per hour
Job Description:
Are you compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of others? We are seeking an Home Health Aid (HHA) to join our team in Asbury Park, NJ. As an HHA, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, particularly those facing challenges such as Alzheimer's, previous falls, vertigo, pain in both lower extremities, and bladder incontinence.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management.
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their well-being and quality of life.
Monitor and report any changes in clients' condition to the appropriate medical personnel or family members.
Help with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping as needed.
Requirements:
Current Home Health Aid or CNA certificate, valid in the state of New Jersey required.
BLS or CPR certification required.
Previous experience in geriatric home care preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of Alzheimer's disease and related conditions.
Ability to handle and assist with mobility issues, including previous falls and vertigo.
Understanding of pain management techniques and experience working with clients experiencing pain in both lower extremities.
Compassionate and patient demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes in Jersey City, NJ.
Schedule:
Two 6-hour shifts per week
Total 12 hours per week
