    1st shift production team lead for a Tier One Automotive supplier $20.75/hr

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for the operation of a section on the Manufacturing floor, supporting the Supervisor with the day-to-day management of their manufacturing area, leading a group of team members, and ensuring an efficient flow of operations to achieve business targets.

    Provide leadership to the team, coordinate their workloads, provide support to ensure that the team delivers, monitors, and reports any issues, and ensure production targets, and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer.

    Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.Duties/Responsibilities:

    ? Ensure all PPE is being worn per requirements and through leading by example,

    ensure all safety incidents, violations or near misses are immediately reported.

    ? Ensure lock out tag out is always followed within the assigned area.

    ? Ensure achievement of production throughput against stated rates/standards/schedule targets or escalation in being followed per escalation policy.

    ? Ensure their team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities and production boards are being updated hourly.

    ? Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, always Sustain) practices.

    ? Ensure all process parameters are being met according to process sheets or a deviation in place with appropriate escalation.

    ? Ensure all records are completed appropriately: process sheets, quality alert training records, material usage sheets, manufacturing reports.

    ? Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated and brought to the MRB area, attend MRB at end of the shift for disposition.

    ? Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed (3-6-9)

    ? Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions.

    ? Monitor changeover and/or line set up efficiently and escalate any delays.

    ? Prepare line set-ups for following shifts ensure all material locations are filled lineside in the scope of responsibility area.

    ? Provide training to line operators and ensure all training records are updated.

    ? Provide suggestions on performance reviews to the Supervisor.

    ? Assist with work instructions and ensure they are being followed as documented.

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    ? Assist in scheduling routine maintenance on all equipment (bring up issues) by documenting all downtime reasons appropriately.

    ? Assist with root cause analysis and resolving problems.

    ? Assist in establishing safety procedures for new equipment and production procedures.

    ? Assist in Identifying business improvement opportunities within the organization.

    ? Arrive 30 minutes prior to start of shift production, time will be used for hand off with prior shift Team Leader (production issues, best practice sharing, material issues, planned tool changes.)

    ? Must have a Valid Driver’s License.

    ? Must have basic computer skills.

    ? May not have more than 4 attendance points at the time of the posting’s removal.

    ? No active performance disciplinary write ups.

    ? Willing and able to work overtime.

    ? Be able to obtain a level 4 status in all jobs within 30 days of starting position.

    ? Attend and complete OSHA safety training as it becomes available.

    ? Must be able to stand entire shift.

    ? Demonstrated record of credibility, loyalty, and dedication.

    ? Demonstrated leadership ability with a history of making sound judgments.

    ? Advanced knowledge of process procedures

    WORKING CONDITIONS: Fast paced environment, expected to achieve daily goals and assignments daily. Must be able to lift 35-40 pounds repetitively.
