    Job Description

    SC Ports Authority's vision is to become the preferred port of the Top 10 Ports in the United States. Our employees are our greatest asset, and we have re-developed several areas of our talent acquisition focus, including our Internship Program.

    In an effort to partner with several leading universities throughout the country, we are revamping and bolstering our Internship Program to bring both value to candidates and our organization alike. Our aim is to provide a world-class opportunity for students looking for world-class experience. We will generate specific job descriptions to couple with the curriculum of selected students, creating specific training and learning opportunities along the way.

    Qualifications

    The assignment is scheduled from May 26, 2025 through July 25, 2025. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. We prefer students currently in their Junior or Senior year working toward a bachelor's degree. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and time management skills are necessary. Candidate will be using systems such as UKG and the Microsoft Office suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Visio, etc.) in addition to other required job function software.

    SC Ports is looking for dedicated young professionals seeking to further their education with real world experience at one of the fastest growing ports in the US including:

    • * Software Engineer
      
      • Occupational/Industrial Safety
      • Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
      • Finance/Accounting

    Requirements:

    • * High School Diploma and currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with Upperclassman Status.
      

    Internships are on an as-needed basis and interns will work closely with the coordinator of the program to sculpt the ideal experience based on individual learning goals, available projects and general support needs within departments.

    Interns must be currently enrolled as a traditional undergraduate student who will graduate after August 2025.
