Position: FedEx Ground Delivery Driver

Location: White Marsh, Maryland

Schedule: 5 Days a Week

Job Summary: As a FedEx Ground Delivery Driver, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of packages to our valued customers. You will be responsible for operating a delivery vehicle (Step Van), navigating assigned routes, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a delivery van or truck in compliance with all traffic rules and regulations.

Load packages into the vehicle and ensure proper arrangement to prevent damage during transit.

Plan and follow assigned delivery routes to optimize efficiency and timely delivery.

Accurately verify and scan packages before departure and upon delivery to maintain package integrity.

Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintain and foster positive relationships with customers on delivery routes.

Report any issues or discrepancies with packages, vehicle maintenance, or customer interactions to the management.

Adhere to FedEx Ground's policies and procedures at all times to maintain the company's high service standards.

Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of yourself and others.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Previous experience in delivery driving or related field is an advantage.

Excellent navigation skills and the ability to read maps and use GPS devices effectively.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to handle a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.

Must pass background checks and drug screening as required by company policy.

Working Conditions:

This position involves working outdoors and requires physical stamina.

Work schedule may include weekends and holidays to meet delivery demands.

The delivery driver will be required to lift and move packages of varying weights up to 70 Ibs
