** Job Description Summary**
The Flood Planning Division is looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to take on the exciting opportunity to manage the statewide regional flood planning program in Texas. The Regional Flood Planning Manager performs advanced (senior-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Texas Water Development Board’s (TWDB), high-profile Regional Flood Planning (RFP) Department within the Flood Planning Division in the Office of Planning (OOP). Work involves administration and oversight of the agency Statewide Regional Flood Planning Program with significant outreach and stakeholder involvement. Coordinates and guides the development of the regional flood plans for agency review, and Board approval. Provides highly proactive management involving administration of the Regional Flood Planning Program and associated grant contracts. Tracks information and data meticulously. Establishes goals and objectives, develops guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Develops schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals. Coordinates and evaluates Department activities, develops and evaluates budget requests, and monitors budget expenditures. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others. May train others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director of the Flood Planning Division.
