Title: 2nd Shift Supervisor
Shift: 2nd Shift, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Salary: $30.00 - $40.00/hour, depending on experience
Location: Cleveland, OH
Your Role as a 2nd Shift Supervisor:
As a 2nd Shift Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind the production team, ensuring that the team meets highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and delivery. Your leadership will be crucial in upholding the reputation for excellence.
2nd Shift Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a role model, leader, trainer, and mentor to your team.
Supervision & Coordination: Oversee and prioritize the activities of production personnel to meet customer, plant, and management requirements.
Production Planning: Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job completion.
Quality Control: Observe workers and machines to detect errors or malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production, quality, and timekeeping reports and records.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot production and quality issues in collaboration with Production and Quality personnel.
We are looking for a 2nd Shift Supervisor with:
High School Graduate or G.E.D.
2+ years' experience managing people in a machining or production setting is required
Leadership Qualities: Results-oriented with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
Motivated to help production team and seek out and resolve issues
Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively influence, motivate, and set clear expectations for team members, ensuring follow-through and accountability
Extensive knowledge of machining processes, equipment operation, and blueprint interpretation
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex machining issues
Proficiency in Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen facilitation
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with team members, leadership, and cross-functional departments
Ability to work professionally, tactfully, and collaboratively with diverse teams, external partners, and customers as needed
Demonstrated ability to plan for long-term improvements and lead change effectively
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a Drug Screen
