    Job Title: FPI Inspector

    Overview:
    A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) Inspector to join its team. This role involves performing detailed inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of aerospace and other precision-engineered components. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in nondestructive testing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain inspection and test logs in compliance with internal procedures.
    • Set up and calibrate testing equipment, conduct tests, and document results.
    • Operate and maintain FPI testing equipment.
    • Examine and test materials or products for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
    • Compare finished products to drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Identify and reject defective parts, marking the type of defect and documenting findings appropriately.
    • Perform and document system checks as required by internal and external policies.
    • Write detailed reports and customer instructions for inspection methods and findings.
    • Assist with customer audits and respond to audit findings promptly.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • A technical associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
    • Previous FPI experience is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated experience in FPI inspection levels:
      • Level 2: 2–5 years of experience, ability to interpret and document results.
      • Level 3: 5+ years of experience, capable of training and leading FPI processes.
    • Familiarity with interpreting codes, standards, and technical documents.
    • Minimum five years of experience inspecting aerospace products for dimensional tolerances (Y14.5).
    • Vision acuity and certifications as required by customers.
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.

    $55,000-$65,000 per year
