**This is a full-time contractor role payable at $30 per hour**
We are seeking a 2nd shift IT Deskside Engineer/ Data Center Technician to provide on-site support, focusing on network-related tasks. This role includes escorting services, basic network cabling, customer communication, and end-user device support, such as installation, repair, configuration, and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have basic networking knowledge, a customer-focused mindset, and experience working in a data center or IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support network-related tasks, including basic network cabling and escort services.
- Assist with end-user device installations, repairs, setups, configurations, and upgrades.
- Provide support for office moves, setups, and minimal migrations.
- Communicate with customers to ensure efficient issue resolution and service delivery.
- Use ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems to log and track work.
- Work within a team environment to ensure seamless IT and network operations.
- Travel to Spoke locations (must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation).
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Minimum one year of experience in a Data Center or IT support role (preferred).
- Basic networking experience and familiarity with network cabling.
- CCT certification preferred; Network+ certification highly desirable.
- Experience with ServiceNow or other IT ticketing systems (preferred).
Soft Skills & Additional Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting and support tasks.
- Must be able to work on-site (remote work is not available).
