Our client, a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is seeking a results-driven Account Manager with expertise in sales negotiations and client relationship management within the warehousing and logistics sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue by negotiating profitable contracts with potential clients and brokers, effectively onboarding new business, and serving as the primary liaison between the company and its 3PL clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations with potential clients and brokers to secure contracts that align with the company’s profitability and service goals.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their storage and logistics needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all client-related matters, ensuring exceptional communication and support.
- Manage the client onboarding process, ensuring smooth transitions and consistent service expectations.
- Monitor contract performance and customer satisfaction, proactively addressing issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with internal operations and warehouse teams to align service capabilities with client requirements.
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue and retention.
- Keep up-to-date on market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor offerings to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in account management or client relations within the logistics, warehousing, or 3PL industry.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and sales-driven relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Familiarity with warehousing operations and pricing models in the 3PL space.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple accounts and deliverables.
- Ability to analyze client needs and present tailored service solutions that drive revenue.
- Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for pricing analysis.
- Self-starter mentality with a results-oriented approach and a passion for logistics and client service.
