    JOB SUMMARY

    Performs periodic & required maintenance and repair all company property and equipment to maintain production, quality and safety as directed by a supervisor including but not limited to, welding, electrical, vehicle and/or machinery repair. Must have experience in trouble shooting and repairing

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Maintenance Technician supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, procedures, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.

    General working knowledge of diesel engines, fuel management systems, hydraulic systems associated with large industrial fork trucks, computerize band saws for cutting mild carbon steel, CNC Oxy Fuel burning machines, blaster, and plasma machines.

    Able to read prints and schematics

    Able to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic pumps,

    Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment, control voltage circuits 12v to 120v circuits, and PLC

    Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery

    Able to work with remote-controlled overhead cranes, welding, diesel engines and over the road flatbed trailers with DOT requirements

    Working knowledge of electrical operations throughout the facility.

    Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.

    Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.

    Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment, and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity

    Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs.

    Assemble and install electrical panels, and other electrical equipment

    Performs periodic and required maintenance and repairs on all company property and equipment including yard trucks, forklifts, trailers, saws, plasm units, conveyors, and overhead cranes, as directed by maintenance supervisor, including but not limited to, welding, electrical, vehicle and machinery repair.

    Works and coordinates with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.

    Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    High school diploma or Technical School Degree with appropriate mechanical and electrical skills.

    1-2 years general maintenance & repair experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

    Extensive knowledge of and experience with equipment and automotive repair including 230/460V/3/60 electrical systems and electric motors.

    Proficiency identifying common electrical parts, reading a tape measure, understanding variable frequency drives and using a Multi-Meter.

    Must be comfortable working at heights.
