Job Title: Resident Care Aide
Location: Cabot Cove of Largo Assisted Living
Shift: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care facility, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Help residents with mobility needs, including transferring and positioning in beds or chairs.
- Serve meals to residents, assisting with feeding as necessary, and ensuring dietary preferences are respected.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional health.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and housekeeping standards.
- Document care provided and any observations in residents' records accurately and timely.
- Support residents in their personal hobbies and interests to encourage a positive living experience.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure holistic care for residents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
- Prior experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
- Understanding of elder care, hygiene practices, and resident rights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Availability to work the designated shift consistently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move residents with appropriate techniques.
- Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina, such as lifting and assisting residents.
