Title: Test Automation Engineer – Genesys/Cyara
Location: Remote
Rate: $50/hr

Note: This is a contract on W2, and is NOT open to C2C

The Telephony Quality Assurance Analyst – Genesys Cloud IVR/Cyara Velocity Automation Framework, will be responsible for;

• Helping create a culture that motivates teams to ensure zero defects into production
• Working across teams to understand enterprise quality requirements and ensure adoption of core processes and standards
• Implementing shift-left test strategy as the organization rearchitects our technology platform
• Partnering with DevOps Engineers to fully automate testing throughout release & delivery processes in the CI/CD pipeline
• Leveraging market-leading automation frameworks and tools across all levels of testing that integrate in the automated CI/CD pipeline
• Participating in product design reviews, ensuring quality practices are baked into the software development and deployment lifecycle
• Working with internal teams to document test environments and test data management container strategies, and provisioning for the different types of testing activities
• Comprehending and decomposing user stories/requirements to identify what tests need to be created and automated across all levels of testing
• Collaborating with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans

Required Job Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in test automation engineering with API based testing; experience with both manual and automated testing in the IVR space
• Hands-on testing experience in Genesys Cloud IVR and Cyara Velocity
• Proficiency automating tests and writing code in Python
• Working knowledge of test management software (JIRA, qTest, etc.)
• Experience utilizing test automation tools and frameworks, including Cyara Velocity
• Experience automating API testing
• Extensive knowledge creating and leveraging mocks, stubs, and virtual services to fulfill test automation requirements
• Experience with market tools, including Postman
• Experience with White Box Testing practices
• Working knowledge of Automated Test Driven Development (ATDD) and/or Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with Software Engineering best practices for the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), as well as supporting technologies, including GIT, Git Lab, or Docker, and test suite development and maintenance
• Ability to provide hands-on training for existing testers, writing and using automation scripts, and ensuring best practices are followed
• Deep understanding of shift-left test practices and techniques, along with frameworks and the tools that support it
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiastic, energetic personality with an inherent curiosity to break code

Preferred Job Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related subject
• Familiarity with Agile Frameworks and regression testing
• Working experience in API testing and SQL
• Experience across the Quality Assurance Lifecycle (QALC) and Testing Management, such as developing test strategies, reporting and tracking defect, preparing traceability matrices using Jira, etc.
• Experience in financial services technology/consumer banking testing
• Experience with AWS and Rest Services
• Experience with the Cyara Load Testing tool, Cyara Cruncher, and in Cyara Automation
• Experience automating tests for the full solution stack (unit, business logic, contract, usability, functional, performance)
