This position will work in Aurora for the first three months, as the company completes its relocation to Salem Municipal Airport.
Summary
A&P Mechanics are responsible for a variety of aircraft maintenance and repair activities. They may occasionally be asked to assist in other areas of the shop as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Perform general maintenance to a varied spectrum of aircraft according to aircraft maintenance manuals
•Troubleshoot and analyze aircraft mechanical systems
•Repair aircraft systems to restore airworthiness
•Perform 100-hour inspections, annual inspections, and Customer FAA Approved Inspection Programs
•Read, understand, and follow repair manuals, drawings and repair instructions
•Collaborate effectively with others to quickly solve repair problems, both seeking help when needed and offering it when requested
•Update inventory and parts requirements in company’s maintenance tracking software (Corridor)
•Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in aircraft maintenance
•Current Airframe and Powerplant License
Skills & Knowledge
• Understanding of FAA regulations FAR part 145
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft repair techniques and procedures, especially sheet metal and/or composite repairs
• Capable of interpreting drawings and blueprints to accomplish specific tasks
• High proficiency in repair and parts paperwork and documentation
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to efficiently monitor use of time to meet stringent deadlines
• Familiarity with Corridor maintenance tracking software is a huge bonus, but the ability to quickly learn new computer software is also sufficient
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching will all be required.
MII Aero is a recognized industry leader in major and minor repairs, alterations and modifications to sheet metal and composite material within the fixed and rotor wing marketplace.
