Job Summary
Behavior Advocacy is seeking a part-time on-site role for an ABA Therapist to provide ABA Therapy in South Orange County (Laguna Niguel and surrounding areas. The ABA Therapist will work with clients with autism and other developmental disabilities primarily with School-Age Children ages 3-18 years old, to improve behaviors, social skills, and communication. The ABA Therapist will be responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans in which the supervising BCBA creates, collecting data, and collaborating with the clinical team. Feedback and support is frequent, so good communication skills are a requirement. Part-Time position may lead to full time.
This position involves driving to and from client homes within a 30 minute driving time radius. Afternoon availability is an absolute must (between the hours of 3pm-630pm). Most client sessions are 3 hours in length on average.
Responsibilities
Collect Data while implementing the intervention
Complete Daily session notes and logs
Communicate with the Supervising BCBA
Qualifications
Must possess exceptional communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changes in client needs and treatment plans
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in physical play and activities
Prior experience in ABA programming and data collection is strongly preferred but not required
A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field is preferred but not required
