POSITION OVERVIEW: We’re seeking a Service Desk Technician Level 2 to join our team with the Army Enterprise Service Desk (AESD) located at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. You’ll be providing worldwide IT Technical support to the Soldiers and Civilians of the US Army.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and prioritize knowledge base and help desk software, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users and techs experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issue & developing a tested solution.
- Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to supervisor or technical staff.
- Log and track issues using problem management database and maintain history records and related problem documentation for management review.
- Downloads and tests computers, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Take responsibility and be accountable for the calls by managing all calls that you have logged until they are completed and the client is satisfied with our service
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a minimum of 3 yrs. of relevant technical support experience
- Knowledgeable in the field of Network and Software Troubleshooting
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- You must be able to obtain a DoD 8570.1 Certification prior to start date; We will assist with the cost if needed
- You must be able to obtain the ITIL Foundation Certification within three months after your start date; We will assist with the cost if needed
- Prefer Candidates with an Associates Degree in a related field study such as Computer Networking
DOD SECURITY:
- Must be US Citizen
- Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance; If you don’t have this Clearance we have the ability to process you for it

- You'll earn an hourly wage of up to $29.00 per hour.
