And for more than 20 years, ABCD, After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, has given the invaluable gift of customized, one to one emotional support as a free service to anyone who needs it. ABCD is a national breast cancer organization that nurtures hope and restores confidence to empower anyone impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis – patients, families, and friends. Working as a complement to medical care, all our support services are delivered virtually over the phone or online, making them available anywhere in the world. As demand for our services continues to rise, we are looking for an individual to join us as a Match Specialist.
JOB SUMMARY
As a Match Specialist, you will facilitate the customized match between patients, survivors, people living with metastatic disease or caregivers and a breast cancer survivor/Mentor. Through asking questions, validating feelings, and demonstrating empathy you will uncover the needs of the individuals’ requesting services and utilize that knowledge to identify and enable a Mentor match. Your primary stakeholders will be Participants, Mentors as well as peers within ABCD.
