The VP of Sales & Marketing will provide overall leadership for a multi-functional Sales and Marketing team. This person will be responsible for organizing, planning, staffing, and leading the company’s sales and marketing activities as well as driving Business Unit value creation. They are responsible for developing and implementing business development, marketing, and sales strategies of the company. He or She will facilitate product planning through the Business Unit Managers by informing Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance personnel of current and future customer product needs. They may act as a high-level negotiator and sales engineer in key business situations. Direct responsibility to deliver on defined sales targets. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage, Develop and Lead Sales Team (Inside Sales Account Managers, Sales Managers, Business Development, Sales Reps and Distributors) to achieve defined sales targets Develop Business Unit Managers and Business Unit Teams to grow EBITDA through value creation Develop clear and effective performance metrics for the marketing organization, as well as individuals, measuring the effectiveness; using metric trends and data to drive the business and decisions therein Facilitate the growth strategy and product development strategy of the company while building a dynamic, highly creative, and competitive organization by setting the standard through example as leader, coach and mentor Oversee the management and execution of the business development pipeline and associated....
Job Qualifications:Qualifications: 4-year college degree (engineering or business degree preferred) MBA Preferred At least 15 years professional experience in total; 5 or more of which should be in managing sales teams in a functional management role. Experience required in the development and support of technical proposals and/or business solutions as well as contract negotiations and contract management. Experience with increasing responsibilities Broad business knowledge preferred: technical sales, engineering, business finance, financial modeling and operations Aerospace/Defense or Military sales expereince required Ability to drive results from current and prior positions Skill Set Required: Leadership abilities Must have an in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing principles and techniques, Company products, Company philosophy, business strategies, and objectives Must have the ability to plan, develop, organize, and implement major sales and marketing programs and winning proposals Must develop technical understanding of all Company mechanisms and products Understanding of the details of creating real value through Price optimization and Profitable New Business Good data driven business sense/judgment Critical thinking problem solving with a high attention to detail Action oriented & a team driver Excellent communication (verbal & written), people, and organizational skills Strong project management skills and knowledge Ability to present in front of diverse groups and be able to translate complex information into mana.
