JOB SUMMARY:
The ULD Control Administrator will monitor ULD control information, providing vital support for the organization.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tracking & tracing ULD’s loaded onto the trucks leaving destination airport gates for a last-mile delivery;
- Timely return of the ULD’s to ACL Regional Distribution Centers or Operator’s designated Cargo Handling Agents;
- ULD damage monitoring, control & prevention;
- In coordination and upon approval of User; notifying related agencies about demurrage fees and equipment loss / damage b.e.r. compensation;
- Coordination and management of ULD inventory / pallet restocking with User’s designated Cargo / Ground Handling Agents and HQ;
- Regular inventory of the JG/FF pallets at ORD and other User outstations across the U.S.;
- Ensuring accuracy of the ULD Control Information System (software) through ongoing maintenance of message queues and the systematic processing of data.
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Capacity to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks at a fast pace
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Work closely and effectively with employees across departments, at all levels of the organization, including various worldwide cultures, as well as with customers and vendors
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Office Administration or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of proven administration or similar logistics/inventory management experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
