PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provides excellent customer service with safe and efficient driving capabilities. Expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be reliable with outstanding routing and directional skills. Must be able to work comfortably under tight deadlines.

SUPERVISION:

Position does not supervise anyone

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maps out daily routes to destinations, considering traffic and mileage
• Ensures that medical item/s are securely stored in the delivery vehicle.
• Ensures that the documentation corresponds to each item.
• Spend most of the day driving in varying levels of traffic while sticking to deadlines.
• Completes required trainings, and additional recommended trainings that can help promote compliance with a variety of employment obligations.
• Accurately count and take inventory of medical items to be collected or delivered.
• Ensures the punctual collections and delivery of medical times from facilities.
• Proudly services the company by following all HIPAA, JCAHO, state, and federal laws and standards.
• Maintains car maintenance log weekly.
• Check samples for required identifiers on all cups/tubes.
• In addition to the major duties and responsibilities listed above, this position will be responsible for special projects and assignments on an as needed basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

· High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 year as a courier or driver having interaction with customers.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Undertake basic administrative tasks such as basic computer skills, including email.

• Excellent organization skills, verbal and communication skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

• Ability and willingness to adapt to change.

• Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and maintain strong working relationships with others, internally and externally.

• Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to urgent situations.

• Ability to work unsupervised with the emphasis on punctuality.

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift 40 pounds

• Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record. Maybe required to maintain minimum car insurance as required by Florida and have reliable transportation. Copies of both may be required.

• Usage of personal vehicle maybe required. Assurance that the vehicle is maintained in good condition. Will be reimbursed for mileage based on accurate representation of mileage utilizing forms provided.

• Accepts ownership for all tasks and responsibilities. Maintains good attendance and punctuality
