    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern I to assist the East Region Marketing Team. This position is for a part-time digital internship (Summer 2024) working in AECOM's East Region for a minimum of 20 hours a week and will be based out of Hunt Valley, MD.

    The intern will work in a Windows environment under the supervision of the Senior Multimedia Manager of the Marketing Communications group. The work will include conceptualizing and storyboarding visualization projects; assisting 3D Visualization Specialists with animations and renders in Unreal Engine; editing video projects; and assisting in the development of graphics and animations.

    This position offers experience in interacting with a broad range of clients. These clients may be internal and focused on the promotion of AECOM's work, or they may be external, as part of communications services components of larger contracts.

    We are looking for an intern whose professional goal is to bring communications to life through the creative use of digital media, which has grown increasingly important as society changes how they consume information through social media and non-traditional channels.

    This position is expected to begin in Summer 2024.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Works with a variety of technical and marketing staff
    • Works under general supervision and collaboration with the Business Development Team
    • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
    • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in digital/interactive media, graphic design or a similar field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
    • Must have completed 1 year of study

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
    • Some basic experience or coursework in coding/programming
    • Strong interest and aptitude for 2D/3D/4D visual design.
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail
    • Ability to operate within a team setting

    Additional Information

    • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future
    • Relocation assistance and/or per diem is not offered for this position

    • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $16 to $22 an hour.
