A.G. Risk Management, Inc (AGRM), a subsidiary of Alan Gray LLC under the umbrella of Premia Holdings, Inc., is a multi-faceted claims administration and consulting firm providing a full complement of claim services to established insurers, start-up companies, and run-off companies/books of business. AGRM specializes in resolving run-off and high severity books of business. AGRM currently has offices in Philadelphia PA, Quincy MA, and Buffalo, NY. Key Objectives: The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the area of third-party claims management handling various lines of business. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with familiarity with System and Organization Controls (SOC) purpose and oversight as well as prior experience in procuring and maintenance of company licenses and certifications. Along with these skills, the candidate should have experience specific to internal auditing and procedure development. The successful candidate will be able to exhibit critical thinking skills as he/she works collaboratively with other departments to address and resolve problems and document those solutions with excellent oral and written skills. This position is a hybrid in that it is primarily remote with the ability to periodically come into the Quincy, MA office for meetings or training and travel to other offices as needed. Summary of Responsibilities: * Collaborate meaningfully, both in writing and verbally, with all departments in order to develop means to monitor internal SOC controls against business processes, recognizing and communicating when changes may be warranted. * Engage in structured periodic audit of SOC controls to confirm compliance, documenting and communicating outcomes. * Create or modify existing procedure documents associated with the SOC controls. * Assist with SOC1 Type 2 readiness efforts. * Assist with procuring and maintenance of company business licenses, establishing tracking mechanisms to confirm ongoing compliance in states where claim business is transacted or expected to be transacted. Qualifications/Skills: * Familiarity in the purpose and execution of insurance claims handling. * Risk identification * Excellent verbal and written communication. * Proficient in all Microsoft Office products as well as PDF functionality. * Critical thinking coupled with strong analytical mindset. * Good with technology and systems. * Good at building collaborative relationships & being team oriented. * Highly organized with autonomous follow through * Goal driven with innovative focus. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Auditing experience specific to claims insurance industry to gauge level of best practice compliance within organization. * Collaboration at management level collecting information, analyzing data, identification of weaknesses and resolution strategy development. * Any prior experience specific to tracking compliance with SOC measures and/or dealing with company licensing efforts would be a plus.
