Position Overview

As the AI Engineering Lead, you will take charge of technical leadership for our client's AI initiatives, guiding the development of an agentic LLM and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)-based autonomous SOC platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision and reports directly to the CTO. You will drive innovation, manage ambiguity, and translate cutting-edge AI technologies into actionable engineering solutions. With a strong customer focus, startup experience, and a passion for quick iteration, you will lead the charge in advancing our autonomous SOC solution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic AI Planning

• Develop and deploy production-level AI systems leveraging OpenAI and Anthropic models.
• Spearheaded prompt engineering efforts and designed RAG-based architectures.

Technical Leadership

• Architect and implement vector database solutions for optimized information retrieval.
• Build and manage AI agents using modern frameworks.
• Oversee technical decisions related to AI infrastructure and tooling.
• Mentor a team of up to 10 offshore engineers while establishing best practices for AI engineering.

Innovation and Evaluation

• Assess new AI technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
• Optimize performance and manage infrastructure costs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to transform business requirements into technical deliverables.
• Prototype innovative solutions to evaluate emerging technologies and drive progress.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must have past "Start - UP" experience or "CO-Founder/Founder" experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in AI/ML development.
• Expertise in prompt engineering for GPT-4 and Claude models.
• Demonstrated experience building RAG systems.
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or Crew.ai.
• Strong knowledge of AI agent development and orchestration.
• Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Pgvector, ChromaDB).
• Hands-on experience with REST API development using Django Rest Framework or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization tools.
• Proven track record of deploying production-ready AI systems.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
• Background in cybersecurity applications.
• Contributions to open-source AI initiatives.
• Solid understanding of ML/DL fundamentals.
• Experience with fine-tuning and optimizing LLMs.
