Summary
The AM Back Server serves food and beverage in a timely, friendly, and professional manner according to established standards and procedures.

Essential Job Functions
• Serve food and beverages to guests according to standards
• Assist in clearing dishes from guests
• Knows all menu items and can describe to a guest if/when necessary
• Is responsible for station set-up and side work
• Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of serving equipment
• Maintain communication with Chef and run food for all tables as requested
• Assist in closing jobs (i.e. re-set dining room, stock equipment, etc.
• Attend daily pre-meal meetings
• Knowledge of all and ability to produce specialty hot beverages such as latte, hot chocolate, cappuccino etc.
• Make manager aware of guest’s comments and complaints
• Carries tools necessary to perform job, i.e. Crumbers corkscrew etc
• Is knowledgeable of 5 star standards and adheres to them in every aspect of operations
• Make Manager aware of guest's comments and complaints
• Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook
• Report to shift on time
• Comply with all policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage Department, The Little Nell, and Aspen One
• Is familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months to 1 year related experience required.
• Basic knowledge of wine, food and cooking methods.
Additional Information
Supervision Given and Received
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Received: Works under direct supervision of the Restaurant Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
