    Job Description

    AMLI Residential, one of the preeminent multifamily companies in the nation, has an opening for a Property Reporting Analyst.

    As the Property Reporting Analyst, you will guide AMLI’s property budgeting and forecasting functions and analyze and report on this data. This role will also provide critical support to AMLI’s Property Management team and interacts with all levels of Senior Management, AMLI Management Company’s operations group, the Investment Management Analyst team, and AMLI’s Accounting group.

    OFFICE(3 DAYS)/HOME(2 DAYS) HYBRID POSITION; our corporate office is in downtown Chicago.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Financial analysis - Develop reports to assist in the property performance analysis process. Review and analyze property performance, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures. Prepare and manage the process of preparing projections and forecasts monthly. Prepare ad hoc reports for both internal and external use.
    • Same Store financial analysis – prepare monthly & quarterly same-store portfolio performance analysis for the board of senior executives and monthly operations calls—timely distribution of Same Store analysis, versus peers, with a summary of results.
    • Budgeting - Manage the annual property budget process. Develop/enhance budget development tools and reports within AMLI’s FP&A software. Provide analytical support to Senior Management during the budget review process.
    • Lead AMLI’s forecasting (monthly) & budgeting (annual) meetings.
    • Manage & Administer AMLI’s FP&A program, Vena.
    • Provide support and assist on-site staff with various reporting questions. Train new team members on how to use & navigate AMLI’s FP&A software.

    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and 2+ years of industry or FP&A experience. MBA, CPA, and/or CFA are a plus.

    Ability to analyze financial and other numerical data effectively, assess trends and causes, and confidently report findings to senior Management. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Excel required.
