Qualifications

Requirements for Employment:

Bachelor’s degree (completed)

Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience

Strong subject matter expertise in AP Chemistry

Ability to commute to San Jose, CA 95118 (in-person attendance is mandatory)

Job Description

Tutors will provide in-person instruction to individual students, small groups, or classes of up to 25 students. Responsibilities include planning lessons using provided materials, maintaining attendance and academic records, evaluating student progress, and collaborating on curriculum design. Tutors will also participate in faculty meetings and training workshops.

Responsibilities

Assist high school students in mastering challenging academic subjects

Teach daily lessons following the Elite curriculum

Conduct small-group tutoring sessions or classroom instruction (class sizes range from 5-25 students)

Monitor and document student progress

Provide innovative solutions to academic challenges

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years of experience tutoring AP Chemistry
