    The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Accounting & Finance team in this multifaceted, full-time role. This unique position will support the managers of our rapidly growing YMCA Association.

    The successful candidate will be experienced in basic accounting, business services, and Accounts Payable, be highly organized, deadline driven, and self-motivated. This position requires strong computer skills and experience working in a paperless environment.

    General office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm.

    We are a not-for-profit services Association focusing on mission driven initiatives, with a vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities throughout seven area counties. Our organization is home to the largest school age childcare provider in Williamson County as well as health and fitness programs that improve the quality of life for over 45,000 members ranging from preschool through senior citizen.

    With the Team, this position will be responsible for helping to successfully complete the following, but not limited to, departmental goals:

    • Perform the duties of the position to help ensure an efficient and clean annual audit
    • Timely completion of the non-financial report required annually by YUSA
    • Accurate and timely reporting of 1099s to appropriate vendors

    Duties include, but are also not limited to:

    • Oversee and process Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Generate and distribute checks and ACHs and remittances on a regular basis to ensure timely payment
    • Maintain positive vendor relations and resolve any invoicing discrepancies timely
    • Annually process IRS 1099 forms for qualifying vendors
    • Review, create, implement, and monitor Association branch cash handling policies and procedures
    • Ensure all branches follow Association guidelines established for Financial Assistance including accepting and maintaining client documentation
    • Bachelor's degree and AP experience preferred. Previous general accounting/business experience required
    • Advocates for new ideas and systematic improvements and addresses identified needs of the branch business services staff
    • Provide training/documentation for new director level staff regarding specific business related processes such as expense reports/mileage, check requests, AP invoice coding/approval, etc.
    • Assist with annual external audit through revenue analytics testing
    • Perform periodic internal audits of data integrity, petty cash, cash drawers, and financial assistance

    Skills/ Requirements:

    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams. Knowledge of Daxko Operations and/or SGA accounting is a plus.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality , use discretion, network and build strong relationships
    • Professional demeanor ; excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Annual Pay Rate: $53,790 - $64,575, depending on experience.
