    Job Summary

    The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint and condition of the patient

    Provide high-quality patient care.

    Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician

    Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed in a timely fashion

    Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions

    Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment

    Interpret and analyze and interpret lab studies and reports

    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family

    Confident in suturing, splinting, minor office procedures, x-ray reads, treating all ages

    DOT Certification, preferred. If not DOT-certified, applicant willing to become DOT certified (employer will pay for training)

    Professional appearance and attitude

    Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

    ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)

    Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania and unrestricted DEA certification

    Able to multi-task and work independently
