Job Description

OVERVIEW:

York Sheet Metal, a high paced work environment, needs a Receptionist/Customer Service Representative.  In this position you will accurately and efficiently enter and plan work orders as well as be responsible for helping customers by providing product information and to assist in resolving issues.  Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handling all incoming phone calls and routing them to the correct people
• Preparing work order packets for the shop
• Liaison between customer and shop supervisor on current work orders
• Assist with vendor invoicing and ensuring quantities and pricing match before submission.
• Document and update customer records based on interactions
• Data entry of orders
• Ensure YSM possesses applicable approvals and revision levels being requested.
• Review work order package for accuracy
• Provide hands on support in customer service, administrative and project-based responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ year’s experience in data entry  
• Must be detailed orientated with a strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to complete work projects with speed and accuracy
• Working knowledge of Excel and all other Microsoft office applications
