JOB SUMMARY:
Working with the Sr. Contracts Manager and alongside members of the CRL team, the Vendor Management Analyst oversees and has responsibilities related to; drafting and negotiating all project vendor contracts, compiling and analyzing vendor management data, vendor performance monitoring and scoring, vendor relations, forms management/design, process development, and oversight of vendor compliance.

Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Degree may be substituted with a minimum of 10+ years of practical experience in construction industry vendor management. Your experience matters here!
Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience working with vendors and/or subcontractors from multiple disciplines within the construction industry REQUIRED.
- Vendor management and/or compliance experience within the construction industry
- Experience managing vendor prequalification programs strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspect of the Vendor Prequalification Program and effectively communicate vendor risk to Estimating and Operations teams based on information received.
- Work with Operations on drafting contract language to translate business needs into specific vendor requirements (i.e., Request for Proposal, Scope of Work, Subcontractor Requirements, Inclusion and Exclusions, etc.). This includes driving the team to reach consensus, meet milestones, and complete contracting by required dates.
- Manage vendor relationships, effectively maintaining positive and ethical working relationships.
- Monitor, analyze and maintain vendor information and documentation, including initiating post project scorecards for all project related vendors.
- Track project vendor reporting requirements, including daily reports, certified payroll, and other owner required subcontractor compliance.
- Work with Operations and Accounting teams to monitor vendor compliance.
- Ensure vendors are evaluated and approved in accordance with company risk tolerance.
- Coordinate the introduction of new vendor services to internal customers, including ensuring proper vendor onboarding and project orientation.
- Collect and analyze data to make process improvements recommendation for both CRL and company-wide strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the CRL Department Strategic Plan.
- Play an active role in developing trainings offered by the CRL Team.
- Provide support, guidance and coaching to vendors and management on all matters related to vendor prequalification, performance, and compliance.
- Participate in cross training, and act as a backup in related areas when needed.
- Actively support and promote the Ballard Culture of Risk Management through ongoing development of LEAN processes to facilitate access to qualified vendors.
- Other relevant duties as required.
