Custom Cooler is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, to join the Operations team.
The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities of the shipping/receiving warehouse. Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, assembles. Enters, maintains, and reconciles inventory transactions to ensure accuracy. In addition to receiving, inspecting, unloading packages, and checking their contents to ensure they match the order, and recording shipments with raw material or products.
Required Skills
- Oversee the primary and final packaging and shipping of finished goods.
- Responsible for the accurate receipt of all incoming materials and packaging into ERP.
- Responsible for efficient warehousing of all production inventory.
- Record all daily production into ERP system
- Receive and input all incoming materials, packaging, and components into ERP system.
- Issue all raw material, components, and packaging to manufacturing order.
- Prepare shipping documents, develop shipping plans, and schedule carriers to meet those schedules.
- Track discrepant material, finished goods, and components until final disposition is made.
- Work with Production Control to rectify manufacturing orders.
- Perform cycle counts on finished goods and raw material on a scheduled basis.
- Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Unload packages from incoming trucks
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
- Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
- Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
- Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
Required Experience
- GED or High School Diploma required; 2-year college or technical certificate preferred or equivalent work experience in manufacturing environment
- 3 - 5 years of related experience
- Advanced comprehension and intermediate math skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and required inventory management systems such as MRP, ERP, and Oracle
- Proven ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required equipment, tools, and powered industrial trucks
- Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Able to meet company requirements to maintain powered industrial truck certifications
- Must be able to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the work day
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance
- Must be able to climb and balance
- Must be able to use hands to reach, handle, and/or feel
- Must have manual dexterity in hands for tool usage
- Must be able to visually inspect products
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
